お茶 (ocha), or tea in Japanese
The aim of this project was to create a new expierience of a product that I love, which is tea. I wanted to combine my learning of the Japanese language with package design as a way to learn more about their culture and traditions. To create something visually and emotionally appealing that also aligns itself with what I was learning in Japanese language class.

お茶, or ocha, translates to tea in Japanese. Typically green tea, so I chose three of the most popular/well known green tea types from Japan and the US.
I added a fan-like accordion folded paper to the front to add a little bit of texture and dimensionality to the outer sleeve. It's something I haven't really seen on packaging and will make it stick out on the self.
